Cable glands are devices that are commonly used in wiring, telecommunication, automation, and electrical instrumentation to safely enclose cables. Single Cord Grips
Single cord grips hold just a single cable. When you tighten the gland, it compresses around the cord which helps to prevent it from being pulled out. They can also be found in a 90 degree, or liquid tight format. Depending on the material that the gland is made out of, it could resist temperatures from 30 degrees below Fahrenheit, to more than 225 degrees above Fahrenheit.
Multi Cord Grips
Where your application calls for multiple cables of different diameters to be protected, then you would look for a multi cord grip. These work by having removable layers of EPDM rubber inserts. Generally these glands can fit up to four cords.
